PROGRAMS and TRAINING

Basic Training Programs

Our programs primarily offer basic courses in firearms safety, marksmanship fundamentals, and gun owners responsibility. This instruction is essential for new gun owners, individuals who plan to purchase a gun and new shooters. The program is designed to provide hands-on instruction mostly through the NRA Basic Courses. Shooting sports and activities are introduced on a basic level as well as defensive shooting.

Tactical Shooting Program

After learning the basics and gaining a certain level of proficiency, some people are interested in learning  defensive shooting and want to go to the next level. The Basic Tactical shooting courses introduces drills and functions that would be encountered in realistic situations such as gun and ammo malfunctions.  Shooting from different positions, shooting on the move and shooting multiple targets are also some aspects of the tactical training. We also cover your particular "carry mode", how to draw from it and how to shoot from cover....................as starters. ( This training is not an NRA program or course)

Instructor Training

Our chief instructor is certified with the National Rifle Association as a Training Counselor and can certify qualified  candidates as NRA instructors. Qualified candidates can be certified in the following disciplines: Basic Pistol Instructor, Basic Rifle Instructor, Basic Shotgun Instructor, Home Firearm Safety Instructor, Personal Protection in the Home Instructor and Refuse to Be A Victim Instructor.

Private Lessons and Refreshers

Firearms classes and training are offered in two other forms, "Private Lessons" and "Refresher Classes". For those who are beginners and have no former experience, but who also prefer not to be in a classroom setting with others, "Private Lessons" could be their choice. Also, for family's that want to learn together or those who  have specific needs that can be met in a more private setting. A "Refresher" is the way to go for those who have taken a basic class or had some other training and need help to restart or get back up to speed.
