WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR: Basic Tactical Rifle is for shooters who have a foundational understanding of rifle handling and are ready to develop real-world defensive and precision skills. Whether you own a rifle for home defense, hunting, or competitive shooting, this course will sharpen your technique and expand your capabilities. WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: The rifle presents unique characteristics compared to the pistol and shotgun — greater effective range, increased precision requirements, and different handling dynamics. This course explores those areas in depth. Topics include: - Rifle safety, handling, and manipulation - Sight alignment, sight picture, and zero fundamentals - Shooting positions: standing, kneeling, and prone - Engaging targets at distance - Moving with a rifle safely and effectively - Malfunction clearance and reload drills - Defensive applications: home defense and rural property security - Ammunition selection and ballistics basics WHY TAKE THIS COURSE: A rifle in the hands of a trained shooter is one of the most effective tools for personal and home protection. Private Lessons and Refresher classes: Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us, it means we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be subject to a fee/re-booking charge of $25. To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide cancellation notice at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If Equanimity and Associates, LLC cancels an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, a new appointment will be scheduled without penalty to the client and subject to availability.
