WHO THIS COURSE IS FOR: Created by the NRA in 1993, this course is for anyone who wants to increase their personal safety awareness and reduce their risk of being victimized in everyday life. This is not a firearms course — no firearms are used or required. This course is ideal for: - Women, seniors, students, and commuters - Anyone who wants to increase situational awareness - Individuals who carry or plan to carry a firearm and want to complement that training with awareness skills - Anyone who has experienced personal safety concerns WHAT YOU WILL LEARN: - Strategies for avoiding dangerous situations - How to recognize and avoid criminal targeting - Safety practices for your home, vehicle, and public spaces - How to respond verbally and physically to threatening situations - Personal safety tools and their effective use WHY TAKE THIS COURSE: Most personal safety starts long before a firearm is ever needed. This course teaches you to think ahead, reduce risk, and respond effectively — making it one of the most practical and broadly applicable courses Equanimity offers. COURSE FEE: $35 A 50% deposit is required to reserve your seat. Deposit options available for financial hardship — ask during your consult. Private Lessons and Refresher classes: Please note that once you have booked an appointment with us, it means we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours before it is scheduled to take place, you will be subject to a fee/re-booking charge of $25. To avoid a cancellation fee, please provide cancellation notice at least 48 hours prior to your appointment. If Equanimity and Associates, LLC cancels an appointment with less than 48 hours notice, a new appointment will be scheduled without penalty to the client and subject to availability.
